Web Summit Female Entrepreneur Breakfast

Estava uma manhã gelada. À medida que nos encaminhamos para o escritório da Start Up Lisboa, a cidade presenteia-nos com esta luz linda e única. Está claramente a acordar. Poucos carros. Poucas pessoas. O ritmo lento da manhã contrasta com a nossa energia! Estamos super animadas com o pequeno-almoço para mulheres empreendedoras, convite da organização do websummit.

Chegamos. Ainda não são 8h. Com um sorriso que ilumina a sala (podíamos mesmo dizer todas as salas) a Aoife recebe-nos como a perfeita anfitriã que imediatamente percebemos que é. Diz-nos que vamos aguardar que cheguem mais pessoas - além de nós as 3, estão mais 3 pessoas - e que o Paddy chegará pelas 8h20m. Ficamos a saber um pouco mais dela, e ela de nós. As poucas histórias que trocamos são suficientes para provocar o riso nas três. Espreitamos as outras salas. Está tudo preparado para nos receber num ambiente descontraído e acolhedor. O Paddy chega: " Se vocês acham que o tempo está mau aqui, deviam ver em Dublin!". E desta forma descontraída se quebra o gelo. Quem tem a Chic Every Week como parceiro regular sabe que dias frios a oportunidade perfeita para tirar do roupeiro os kits mais quentes, Lisboa ou Dublin, que venha o frio!

Conta-nos que quer fazer a ponte entre várias entidades, perceber qual a melhor forma de o fazer e de criar relações entre pessoas e equipas. Imediatamente penso que isto vai totalmente ao encontro da filosofia da MUBU! Sabemos a riqueza de uma parceria e da criação de sinergias entre diferentes formas de pensar. Rápida e naturalmente nomeia 2 ou 3 figuras de destaque mundial ao que junta um: "preciso de saber a quem as entregar quando elas cá estiverem!"

Assim que termina de falar para este grupo de mulheres espectaculares vamos ter com ele. Digo-lhe: "Hoje vieste desafiar-nos, mas nós também te queremos desafiar a ti!". Contamos-lhe a nossa ideia e ele partilha imediatamente o nosso entusiamo! Falamos da nossa parceria com a Chic Every Week e a 44 Studio que vão ser os nossos companheiros nesta aventura. Fica combinado voltarmos a falar. Registamos aquilo a que eu chamo um "momento kodac", ao que se segue outro com todo o grupo!

Falamos com as outras senhoras e de repente percebo que já estou no mesmo espírito que senti no ano passado. É preciso que a Joana me diga, "ainda não estamos em Novembro" para eu cair em mim! Esta energia é contagiante e, para nós, carimbo do Web Summit!

It was a chilling morning. As we head for the Start Up Lisboa office, the city blesses us with this beautiful and unique light. It is clearly waking up. Few cars. Few people. The slow pace of the morning contrasts with our energy! We are super excited about the breakfast for women entrepreneurs, invitation of the organization of Web Summit.

We arrived. It isn't 8h00m yet. With a smile that lights the room (we could even say all the rooms) Aoife welcomes us as the perfect hostess we immediately realize she is. She tells us that we're gonna wait for more people to arrive - besides the 3 of us, there are 3 more people - and that Paddy will arrive at 8h20m. We got to know a little more of her, and she of us. The few stories we've exchanged are enough to provoke laughter in all three. We peek into the other rooms. Everything is prepared to receive us in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Paddy arrives: "If you think the weather is bad here, you should see it in Dublin!" And in this relaxed way he breaks the ice. Who has Chic Every Week as regular partner knows that cold days are the perfect opportunity to get the hottest kits out of the closet, Lisboa or Dublin, let the cold come!

He tells us he wants to bridge the gap between various entities, understand what´s the best way to do it, and create relationships between people and teams. Immediately I think this is totally in line with MUBU's philosophy! We know the richness of a partnership and the creation of synergies between different ways of thinking. Quickly and naturally he names 2 or 3 prominent figures worldwide and then joins a: "I need to know who to hand them to when they're here!"

As soon as he finishes talking to this group of spectacular women, we approach him. I tell him: "Today you came to challenge us, but we also want to challenge you back!" We tell him our idea and he immediately shares our enthusiasm! We talked about our partnership with Chic Every Week and 44 Studio that will be our companions in this adventure. It's agreed to talk again. We record what I call a "kodac moment", followed by another with the whole group!

We talked to the other ladies and suddenly I realize that I'm already in the same spirit I felt last year. It is necessary for Joana to tell me, "we are not yet in November" for me to come to my senses! This energy is contagious and, for us, a Web Summit stamp!
