Idai “trocado para miúdos” e vamos falar de Erradicar a Fome (ODS)

HOJE QUEREMOS AGRADECER. Há 2 dias foi para o contentor a nossa ajuda para Moçambique. Nossa, vossa, das vossas
crianças. A ideia começou como já tinha acontecido antes. Contacto com a Escola
"Temos que fazer alguma coisa, temos que ajudar e também temos que explicar às
crianças o que se passa com as crianças que estão em Moçambique, de certeza que
já fizeram perguntas em casa e é importante que estejam atentas ao que se passa
no mundo".
Depois da luz verde estruturo uma conversa que começa com a localização no mapa, ninguém tem dúvidas de que é em África e rumando a sul lá chegamos. Damos uma noção de escala, nós estamos aqui e somos 10 milhões, Moçambique está ali, são 36 milhões e tem 12 milhões de crianças. O ciclone já sabiam o que era faltava lembrar o nome: IDAI. Feita a localização espacial e social importava agora reflectir sobre a importância da nossa ajuda.
Percorremos o dia-a-dia das crianças: lavar os dentes, tomar pequeno-almoço, ir para a escola... Nos vários momentos que lhes apresentei, as respostas não tardavam e espelhavam claramente a diferença na rotina das crianças da escola e das crianças que estão nas zonas afectadas pelo Idai. Dos vários exemplos havia um, o mais importante, que era o ponto comum entre as duas realidades: estar com a FAMÍLIA, falamos na importância desse núcleo duro que nos acompanha tanto em momentos felizes, como nos mais difíceis.
Explico-lhes que a ajuda é tão importante que não vamos ser só nós a ajudar, e voltamos a dar uma noção de escala passando em revista de que forma países, instituições e indivíduos vão apoiar na superação desta catástrofe. "Prontos para ajudar? Siiiiiiim!"
" - Quando alguém se porta mal lá em casa ou é preciso tomar uma decisão importante com quem é que vocês falam?
- Com os Pais.
- E se for na Escola?
- Com as professoras.
- Exactamente! Quando acontece a mesma coisa com os países, são as Nações Unidas que ajudam a resolver os problemas e a tomar decisões."
A recolha decorreu nos dias seguintes e na quinta-feira a MUBU foi entregar o donativo à HELPO que tinha sido previamente contactada no sentido de aferir quais eram os bens de maior necessidade: roupa até aos 5 anos, enlatados e sabão. Foi o que pedimos e o que recebemos num total de uns maravilhosos 351,78 Kg, sendo: 183,38 kg de roupa e 168,40 kg de bens alimentares e de higiene
A HELPO vai estar no terreno durante 6 meses, com duas equipas (3 meses cada) - neste momento estão 3 nutricionistas e 2 logísticos - no que está a ser a sua primeira missão em estado de emergência.
Queremos reforçar o nosso AGRADECIMENTO às Crianças, Famílias e Equipa da Escolinha Tia Ló pelo empenho neste desafio!
Também já sabem que #have fun and help someone (diverte-te e ajuda alguém) é um dos nossos motores, por isso lançamos um quiz para que as Famílias pudessem adivinhar quantos kg foram angariados. A vencedora foi a Catarina Dias, Mãe de uma aluna dos 4 anos, que terá como prémio entrar 15 minutos mais cedo na festa de final de ano da escola. Parabéns Catarina!

Nota de rodapé: já sabem que somos fãs das embalagens solidárias dos CTT! No dia 25 de Março lançaram uma campanha feita sobre um protocolo criado entre os correios de Portugal e Moçambique. Sabiam que em menos de 3 dias esgotaram as 200.000 embalagens disponíveis! É espectacular!

Idai "translated to kids" and let's talk about Eradicating Hunger (SDG)
TODAY WE WANT TO THANK. Two days ago, went to the cointainer our aid to Mozambique. Ours, yours, your children. The idea began as it had happened times before. Contact with the School "We have to do something, we have to help and we also have to explain to the children what is going on with the children who are in Mozambique, surely they have already asked questions at home and it is important that they are attentive to what happens in the world ".
After the green light, I structure a conversation that begins with the location on the map, no one has doubts that it is in Africa and heading south we get there. We give a notion of scale, we are here and we are 10 million, Mozambique is there, there are 36 million people and there are 12 million children. The cyclone they already knew what it was, missing to remembre was the name: IDAI. Having done the spatial and social localization, it was important now to reflect on the importance of our help.
We went through the children's daily routine: brushing our teeth, having breakfast, going to school ... In the various moments I presented to them, the answers were quick and clearly reflected the difference in the routine of the children at the school and children who are in the areas affected by Idai. Of the many examples there was one, the most important, that was the common point between both realities: to be with the FAMILY, we spoke about the importance of this focal nucleus that accompanies us both in happy and in difficult moments.
I've explained that the aid is so important that we will not only the be the only ones helping, and we give again a sense of scale by reviewing how countries, institutions and individuals will support the overcoming of this catastrophe. "Ready to help? Yeeeeeeesssss!"
"- When someone misbehaves at home or an important decision has to be made with whom you speak?
- With the parents.
- What if it's in school?"
- With the teachers.
- Exactly! When the same thing happens with countries, it is the United Nations that helps to solve problems and make decisions."
And in this simple way, we end our conversation with this spectacular group of children, showing the symbol of one of the Sustainable Development Goals - Eradicate Hunger - and leave the seed we hope will help to root a sustainable consciousness that we see already is there and that we think must be natural and transverse to kids and grownups!
The collection took place on the following days and on Thursday MUBU went to deliver the donation to HELPO, that had been previously contacted in order to check which were the goods of more need: clothes up to 5 years, canned food and soap. This is what we aks for and it was what we've received in a total of a wonderful 351.78 kg, being: 183.38 kg of clothing and 168.40 kg of food and hygiene goods.
HELPO will be on the ground for 6 months, with two teams (3 months each) - at this moment there are 3 nutritionists and 2 logistics - in what is being their first mission in a state of emergency.
We want to reinforce our THANKS to the Children, Families and Team of Escolinha Tia Ló for the commitment in this challenge!
You also already know that #have fun and help someone is one of our motors, so we launched a quiz so that Families could guess how many kg were raised. The winner was Catarina Dias, the mother of a 4-year-old student, who will receive the award of entering 15 minutes earlier at the school's end-of-year party. Congratulations Catarina!
