DESAFIO SOLIDÁRIO DE OUTUBRO: DOAR ROUPA

No desafio de Outubro o repto que vos lançámos foi de doarem roupa e colocarem-na num contentor, dos vários que estão espalhados na cidade. Como sempre, a nossa sugestão vai no sentido de integrar um boa acção na vossa rotina diária. Dos desafios directos que fizémos, tivémos uma resposta espectacular da parte da LuxWoman que, internamente, estendeu o nosso desafio ao Grupo Masemba.

ADESÃO EM FORÇA DA LUXWOMAN E DO GRUPO MASEMBA

O donativo da MUBU destinou-se para a Fundação "O Século" e quando na LuxWoman nos questionaram sobre este asunto, decidimos conjuntamente que o deles teria os mesmo beneficiários. Quando fomos buscar o donativo destes novos parceiros da MUBU percebemos que tínhamos que fazer esta entrega de forma diferente. As equipas da LuxWoman e Masemba foram tão generosas que decidimos ir entregar directamente ao ponto de recolha da Fundação. Ficámos a conhecer mais um pouco do trabalho que faz esta instiuição.

ARMAZÉM SOCIAL "O SÉCULO"

Fomos muito bem recebidos pelo Mário Emanuel que nos mostrou todo o armazém que está muito bem organizado e em permanente movimento, no sentido de gerir da melhor forma, os recursos que lhes chegam. Falou-nos da loja social que estão a preparar neste espaço e que vai inaugurar no início do ano (2017), e da parceria que fazem com uma das escolas secundárias locais, onde a reciclagem de papel dá origem a lanches escolares. Isto para nós faz todo o sentido, criar sinergias entre entidades para optimizar a gestão de recursos. Ficámos também a saber que entre os vários locais e estágios de acolhimento de crianças e jovens, que incluem a Casa das Conchas, do Mar e da Ponte, a Fundação apoia permanentemente 32 crianças.

PROJECTOS SOLIDÁRIOS DA FUNDAÇÃO

Além de toda a componente relacionada com a educação escolar e de cidadania, a fundação tem mais projectos a decorrerem: a "Cozinha d'O Século onde são preparadas diariamente mais de 600 refeições destinadas a pessoas carenciadas, num total de 1500 refeições por dia, onde se pretende criar um serviço de venda de refeições take-away, a preços acessíveis, disponível a toda a população. A "Lavandaria d'O Século" tem serviços de lavandaria, engomadoria e costura com preços acessíveis e, por fim, o Turismo d'O Século que recebeu em 3 anos mais de 12.000 pessoas. São no seu conjunto, uma oferta de serviços de vertente solidária e que garantem a sustentabilidade dos vários projectos desta Fundação. SOLIDARY CHALLENGE OF OCTOBER: DONATE CLOTHES

In the challenge of October the quest that we launched was to donate clothes and put it in a container, of the several that are scattered around the city. As always, our suggestion is to integrate a good action into your daily routine. On the personal challenges that we've made, we had a spectacular response from LuxWoman which, internally, extended our challenge to the Masemba Group.

SUPPORT IN FORCE OF LUXWOMAN AND THE MASEMBA GROUP

MUBU's donation went to the Foundation "O Século" and when LuxWoman asked us about this, we jointly decided that theirs would have the same beneficiaries. When we went to gather the donation from these new partners of MUBU, we realized that we had to do this delivery differently. LuxWoman and Masemba teams were so generous that we've decided to go directly to the Foundation collection point. There, we've got to know a little more about the work that this institution does.

SOCIAL WAREHOUSE "O SÉCULO" ("THE CENTURY")

We were very well received by Mário Emanuel who showed us all the warehouse that is very well organized and in permanent movement, in the sense of managing the best way possible, the resources that arrive to them. He told us about the social shop they are preparing in this space and that will open at the beginning of the year (2017), and the partnership they do with one of the local secondary schools, where paper recycling gives rise to school snacks. This makes all sense for us, creating synergies between entities to optimize resource management. We also learned that among the various places and stages for children and young people, including Casa das Conchas (Shell's House), Mar (Sea) and Ponte (Bridge), the Foundation permanently supports 32 children.

SOLIDARY PROJECTS OF THE FOUNDATION

In addition to all the school and citizenship education component, the foundation has more projects underway: "Cozinha d'O Século" ("O Século" Kitchen) where more than 600 meals are prepared daily for the those in need, with a total of 1500 meals a day, where it is intended to create a service of sale of meals take-away, at affordable prices, available to the entire population. "Lavandaria d'O Século" has laundry services, ironing and sewing with affordable prices and, finally, "Tourism d'O Século", which has received more than 12.000 people in 3 years, together making an offer of solidary services and guaranteeing the sustainability of the various projects of this Foundation.Thanks to Mário Emanuel who received us so well in the social warehouse.
