Partilhar para Ajudar

25-04-2017

Vamos a isto!"

Nunca tive.

"Quero dar o meu testemunho e assim quem sabe...

Manter a presa.

Recomponho-me com orientações, aceitando o que as Instituições me oferecem em prol da integridade. O não retorno. A minha filha e eu.

A injustiça?

Agora, a alegria manifesta-se, o olhar sonha, e o coração inicia a sentir desejo, partilha. Liberdade.

(English Version)

SHARE TO HELP

I talk again with Carolina from APAV. I show her one more idea that I think makes sense in the context of our challenge. "Let's ask that some people you've helped share their story with us? I think it could help someone who is in similar situations to see that it is possible to get out of a difficult situation. "On the other hand, the positive response didn't wait:" Great idea! Let's do this! "

I don't see a better introduction to what we're going to share with you: listen to the voice of three women who have been filled with strength and who have changed their lives for the better.

A 45 YEAR OLD WOMAN

"I have no marks on my body. Never had. Psychological aggression leaves no visible marks on the body. During the time I was beaten I spent every day disguising because I couldn't say or show what I felt, because if I did more screams would come, more offenses would come.

In the place where I worked I spent many days disguising the cry and trying not to think about the aggressor to get the job to run normally. But when I had to go home my torment began. I had to share everything with the aggressor because it was with him that I had my conjugal life. Every day, without exception, I lived in function of: avoiding his shouting, avoid being disrespected by him and avoid being threatened by him. As time went by, everything got worse, I was smaller and his threats were bigger.

The day I went to the police it was the only day I felt like I was going to get out of his life. And I did it. But my suffering wasn't over. For two years I had nightmares and developed psychosomatic illnesses. I thought that over time I would feel better, but no. The feeling of anger seized me for two years until I started doing psychotherapy at APAV.

After 6 months of psychotherapy there are days when I almost feel normal without the symptoms of psychosomatic illnesses and the nightmares are much less violent. "

A 60 YEAR OLD WOMAN

"I want to give my testimony and who knows ... Help other women who, like me, have passed or are going through very difficult times and sometimes without seeing light at the end of the tunnel.

I was a victim of domestic, physical and psychological violence for 20 years !!! I would always come back, always forgave him because I thought he could change !!!! One day a lawyer friend of mine told me that I needed help and he sent me to APAV in Cascais. I thank God that they have welcomed me so well, supported me, helped me and, above all, I've been able to "jump out" of the torture I have lived through the last 20 years of my life. I've been alone for almost 4 months, I continue to be followed and supported by APAV and I have the most important of all Peace!

If it was not for APAV I think I would still be in that horrible war today. Thank you very much. "

A 39 YEAR OLD WOMAN

"... And because yesterday I was in peace. And now, serene, I feel the need to read this text, so that it is clear that this moment is a repetition requested by justice in its injustice to human rights.

The year of 2016 is ending, which means it's been a year since I left home. There, during that time, he intended to maintain an apparent social balance. Convenient. With each pause of mine, his tempestuous load came, in every disagreement and confrontation, the disagreement and its violence offered, silent, subtle, vindictive and constant. Repeatedly. With every sign of desire to investigate, to create, to be, came an instigation to not be able to go, an excuse ... Keep the prey.

I recompose myself with guidelines, accepting what the Institutions offer me for the sake of integrity. The non-return. My daughter and I.

I maintain the sincere certainty of the decision made, which today brings us all here, in improving the quality of life and lives. Of my dignity, of my maternal performance, of social responsibility. That morning with a double rainbow.

I know, despite of my position, I will be on stage again. They ask me to relive the moments that have been present for 7 years. And they still ask me why I've been a victim for 7 years? I ask, why are we here again in court after 4 months?

I am in justice that I injustices me for having to come back to testify. Me and Everyone. I spent this time trying to understand, to reflect, to improve, to anticipate, and especially to know how to be healthy. My body still has the memory of being bullied, beaten, trapped and oppressed. To have to reinvest in the memories, in the terror of the model I was in (and my daughter ...). With no option of choice, with doubling of fees, Justice calls again because there was a pregnancy. And they tell me to accept what could now not happen again. Accept that justice resigns based on human rights violence. What else to accept? The injustice?

Now the joy manifests itself, the sight dreams, and the heart begins to feel desire, sharing. Freedom. I hear my voice in my turn. I had forgotten that it was who I am, that within me flows a river of love and friendship for the Other, in an unconditional search for harmony and satisfaction. "

GRATITUDE

We are gratefull for the generosity of these three ladies for sharing their story with us and we hope that it will help to strengthen the spirit of those who are experiencing similar situations. I reinforce what I said at the launch of this challenge and in what I strongly believe: asking for help is a sign of strength!
